Important Fur Information

When purchasing Wolf and Lynx products from us to be shipped outside of Canada:

Please be aware that Lynx and Wolf are two species of which the international commercial trade is closely monitored by an international agreement called CITES. This is an acronym which stands for the Convention for the International Trade of Endangered Species. Please know that CANADIAN lynx and wolf are NOT endangered but these species are threatened in other parts of the world. Because of this, I am required to apply for export documentation from both the territorial and federal governments which accompanies your purchase upon export from Canada. This is at no cost to you but it does cause a slight delay in shipping.

Also, as the importer, it is YOUR responsibility to ensure that there are no restrictions on importing these goods into your country. Failure to do so may result in your shipment being confiscated at the border of the country of import or worse yet, fines. Please know that all animals are harvested by permitted, licensed trappers, skins are tanned commercially, and I am a licensed manufacturer. Every protocol has been observed and regulation adhered to to make these items for purchase. Every part of our production is legal, above board, and conducted according to local laws. This is why we feel it is important to be as transparent as possible with you about this part of our production. You can find information on importing animal products with your local customs agency.

When buying fur goods, it is also your responsibility to ensure that the vendor you are working with is licensed to make and sell the goods that they do. Please beware of purchasing goods made with furs that have been harvest for subsistence purposes as it is illegal for such furs to be used in commercial goods. Purchasing from a retailer with the appropriate certification can eliminate these concerns.
